ABOUT
I'm Brittan Samford, a cinematographer based in Austin, Texas. I've been working in the industry for over four years, building experience across commercial campaigns, branded content, narrative films, weddings, and live events. I went to Texas State University with a concentration in cinematography, where I developed a technical and creative foundation that continues to shape my work today. Since then, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with local businesses and independent filmmakers to organizations like PBS, with every project helping refine my approach to visual storytelling.
I believe cinematography should do more than create beautiful images. It should support the story, elevate emotion, and give every project a distinct visual identity. I approach every production with careful attention to lighting, composition, camera movement, and collaboration. My goal is always to create visuals that feel intentional, cinematic, and true to the story being told.
Along with on set experience, I provide a fully equipped production kit for projects that require it, including professional cameras, lenses, lighting, and stabilization gear. I'm also experienced working with a wide range of camera systems and production gear, allowing me to adapt seamlessly to different crews, workflows, and production environments.
